142. 4th Sunday of Easter . The Lord said to my Lord
Many Are Wandering. Many Are Being Robbed. But the Shepherd Still Calls.
Made for More
Acts of the Apostles Acts 2:25 says: “I saw the Lord ever before me; with Him at my right hand I shall not be disturbed.”
Book of Psalms Psalm 82:6 says: “You are gods, all of you offspring of the Most High.”
Gospel of John John 10:34 recalls this same passage: “Is it not written in your law, ‘I said, you are gods’?”
Humanity was made for noble sonship, stewardship, and life under divine light. We were created for harmony, truth, dignity, and communion with God.
The Fall Into Disorder
What was meant to live in harmony became scattered through sin, disorder, and separation from grace.
Many people today are outwardly busy but inwardly lost.
Driven by pressure.
Shaped by vanity.
Controlled by fear.
Captured by distraction.
Wounded by habits.
Restless in desire.
They gain activity yet lose direction.
They gain noise yet lose peace.
Restoration in Christ
Acts of the Apostles Acts 2:34 says: “The Lord said to my Lord, Sit at my right hand.”
Through Gospel of Matthew baptism and life in Jesus Christ, a person receives the opportunity to be restored, grow in union with Christ, and live again as a faithful son or daughter of God.
In His presence, one receives peace, strength, and spiritual authority through grace.
Return to the Shepherd
First Epistle of Peter 1 Peter 2:25 says: “You had gone astray like sheep, but now you have returned to the shepherd and guardian of your souls.”
To return to Christ is to let the scattered interior be gathered again.
Christ Is the Gate
Gospel of John John 10:9 says: “I am the gate. Whoever enters through me will be saved and find pasture.”
To enter Christ is through faith, repentance, prayer, sacramental life, obedience to truth, and daily communion.
How ChristusWay Reflections Help
ChristusWay reflections help by training daily awareness. They slow the mind, expose hidden patterns, clarify motives, and reconnect the person to truth. They help people recognize where fear, vanity, distraction, anger, or compromise are quietly shaping the inner life. Reflection restores inner direction and keeps the Lord “ever before” the mind.
How the Rosary Helps
The Rosary quiets the mind and keeps the soul near Jesus Christ through Mary, mother of Jesus. Its steady rhythm calms anxiety, softens the heart, disciplines attention, and opens the soul to grace. Repeated faithfully, it becomes a path of peace, humility, protection, and return to the Shepherd.
Thieves and Robbers
Gospel of John John 10:8 says: “All who came before me are thieves and robbers…”
Today, thieves and robbers are every force that steals the soul:
Lies.
Manipulative voices.
Vanity culture.
Addictions.
Fear-based messaging.
Desires that drain life while promising freedom.
They often appear harmless at first, yet slowly weaken clarity, peace, discipline, and communion with God.
Why Daily Formation Matters
If thieves work daily, awareness must also be daily.
If deception is constant, truth must be constant.
If the world forms habits, grace must form stronger habits.
Truth exposes deception.
Prayer softens the heart.
Catholic teaching protects the mind.
Sacramental life strengthens the soul.
