135.Sunday : Disciples of Emmaus
Acts 2:25 —
“I saw the Lord ever before me; with Him at my right hand, I shall not be shaken.”
And in Acts 2:28 —
“You have made known to me the paths of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence.”
To live in His presence is the goal. But it is not automatic. It requires harmony within.
A life aligned with Christ is a life in harmony:
an awakened soul,
a sound mind that sees truth clearly,
a meek heart at rest,
and holy habits that keep us connected to Him.
We are called to this life.
In 1 Peter 1:16:
“Be holy, because I am holy.”
We were not redeemed with silver or gold, but with the precious blood of Christ, a spotless, unblemished Lamb.
Through Baptism, we are called out of empty ways and into a life of holiness. But this call must be lived.
To grow in holiness is to grow in harmony. And to grow in harmony is to live more deeply in His presence.
In Luke 24, the disciples walk the road to Emmaus. They are filled with grief, confusion, and fear. Jesus comes near and walks with them, but they do not recognize Him.
Because their hearts are heavy and their understanding is clouded.
This is where transformation begins.
We need sound reason to recognize truth.
ChristusWay daily Mass reflections help us walk with Christ and understand Scripture clearly. They form the mind.
The Rosary forms the heart. It gently draws us into the life of Jesus—His suffering, His love, His presence.
Together, reflection and the Rosary become holy habits that build harmony within us.
A sacramental life becomes our prayer: “Stay with us, Lord.”
And then everything changes.
At the table, He takes bread, blesses it, breaks it, and gives it to them.
And in that moment, their eyes are opened. They recognize Him.
This is the journey of every soul: from confusion to clarity, from fear to peace, from blindness to recognition.
When the inner life is aligned—when the soul is awake, the mind is clear, the heart is steady, and habits are holy—we begin to see clearly. We recognize His presence.
This is the yoke of Christ—not a burden, but alignment.
And through ChristusWay daily Mass reflections and the Rosary, we are led into this yoking with Him.
Through this, we begin to experience real rest and peace—a peace that does not fade, but leads us into eternal life.
Right order brings right vision.
Right vision leads to right love.
And right love leads to true rest in Him.
